The City of Edmonton (the “City”) invites participants to submit responses for this Sourcing Event to pre-qualify participants for Neighbourhood/Alley Renewal and Streetscape Renewal Construction projects-2025. The Prequalification is the first step of a 2 step process the City is using to find qualified and capable participants for Neighbourhood/Alley Renewal and Streetscape Renewal Construction projects which shall include the removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter (separate and monolithic structures), lane crossings, curb crossings, roadway milling, road base reconstruction, asphaltic concrete resurfacing, catch basin realignment and manhole adjustment, low impact development features, streetlighting, streetscape features and related work on developed streets, according to the referenced plans, profiles, sections and details. The scope of work also includes improvements to some open spaces (eg. pathways, plazas, etc.) as outlined in the referenced plans. The City intends to issue Invitations to Tender to the prequalified participants, in the second step, in order to select general contractors for some of the City’s multi-year projects starting in the 2025 construction season, using the Design Bid Build project delivery model and the City’s standard Design-Bid-Build contract (modified as needed for each particular project). The City may issue up to two (2) Covered Sourcing Events, if the capital budgets for the relevant projects are approved. The projected completion for these projects ranges from 2025 to 202 8, depending upon the project. Only prequalified Participants will receive notice of covered Sourcing Events .
The City asks that participants submit their response to this prequalification sourcing event within 25 calendar days of its issuance to allow the City to determine whether they are eligible for the first Covered Sourcing Event related to this prequalification. The City also requires that participants submit their response to this Sourcing Event at least 14 calendar days before the City issues a Covered Sourcing Event in which the participant is interested. Participants must score at least 70% on the City’s evaluation in order to be added to the list of prequalified participants.
