Description

The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) oversees the Northern Fire Protection Program (NFPP) which is a government-run program. The NFPP has 47 fire departments. These fire departments provide three (3) lines of defense: Fire Safety Education, Fire Safety Standards, and Enforcement and Emergency Response. A key piece of health and safety requirements is the firefighter’s hose which is often regarded as the firefighter’s lifeline. The fire hose must withstand exposure to heat, flame, abrasion, and chemicals without compromising the structural integrity of the hose to ensure firefighter safety.

This Request for Bids (RFB) from the Ministry of Solicitor, OFM, is seeking a qualified Vendor to supply and deliver fire hoses.
Scope of Work
It is anticipated that the vendor will be required to provide:
• Up to 550 lengths of 45mm 15-meter long fire hoses
• Up to 650 lengths of 65mm 15-meter long fire hoses

Fire hoses must meet the specifications as outlined in the Deliverables. Orders for fire hoses will be made on an as-and-when needed basis further detailed in the RFB.
