Description

Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores (DEANS) is the lead tourism organization within Pictou County and our aim is to bring community tourism leaders together to create a stronger understanding of tourism marketing and the economic impacts tourism has on the community when everyone is working towards the same outcomes. The proposed project will allow Pictou County to engage expertise to undergo a community-led tourism planning process. This will consist of a community tourism assessment, business improvement and engagement program. This project's focus will be to further understand the tourism marketing potential, maximize local assets, collaborate with a broader network of stakeholders in the area and move forward in tourism development with tangible and achievable next steps in Pictou County.
