The City of Fredericton Police Force is seeking a qualified software provider to supply and implement a comprehensive scheduling system. This system will be used by police administrative staff to establish and maintain shift schedules for various platoons, including both sworn officers and civilian personnel. The system must be user-friendly and flexible, accommodating the unique and dynamic scheduling needs of police work, including changing shifts, personnel movements within the organizational
structure, and management of court dates, training days, and vacation schedules.
The scheduling system will also handle on-call and overtime duties, ensuring efficient and fair distribution of these responsibilities. All officers will have mobile access to the system to view schedules, respond to overtime and call-out requests, and request various types of leave. The City of Fredericton Police Force consists of approximately 120 sworn officers divided into 4 platoons working patrol shifts, as well as various other policing functions with varying shifts and scheduling
requirements, along with approximately 50 civilian staff members. The scheduling system must support this diverse workforce, providing a reliable, efficient, and easy-to-use solution for all scheduling needs.
The scope of work includes the supply of a software system that meets the specified system features and requirements, and includes implementation, configuration, user acceptance testing, training, and go-live support.
