Notice is hereby given that the Vancouver Island Health Authority (ISLH) of its intent to directly award a Contract, to the following vendor to provide AeroScout Real-Time Location Service software suite and support, for a term of 5 years plus potential extensions. In accordance with applicable trade agreements, ISLH, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason: • for additional deliveries by the original supplier of goods or services that were not included in the initial procurement, if a change of supplier for such additional goods or services: (a) cannot be made for economic or technical reasons such as requirements of interchangeability or interoperability with existing equipment, software, services, or installations procured under the initial procurement; and (b) would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs for the procuring entity. Securitas Healthcare is the owner of AeroSout’s Real-Time Location System (RTLS) which has been successfully and effectively used by Island Health across various locations for purposes including Staff Protection, Asset Management, Patient Elopement, Temperature & Environmental Monitoring, and Infant Protection for over 14 years. ISLH intends to expand its implementation of the AeroScout RTLS system, which includes Mobileview software, associated RFID tags, and hardware devices, across new and existing sites, sourcing these directly from Securitas Healthcare. Vendors who wish to challenge this decision must provide specific reasons for their objection. The letter must outline the reasons for your objection and must demonstrate your ability to provide the contemplated work/service, availability, and resources. Vendor ability to offer products and services resulting in the same or better solutions at a lower cost in the same timeframe will be the key criterion with regards to consideration of objections. Vendors wishing to object to this decision should email an objection by August 02, 2024 no later than 12:00 PM, Pacific Time to Parmeet Mahajan. Any and all objections received by this date will be given consideration prior to concluding negotiations. Island Health’s decisions will be final.
