File 2024-055 - Review and Update of the Zoning and Subdivisions Bylaws

The successful proponent will be expected to conduct a comprehensive review of the current Zoning and Subdivision Bylaws. This will include identifying areas for improvement, opportunities for modernization, and regulatory alignment with the Municipal Official Plan and Provincial regulations. It is also expected that the proponent will develop these documents to achieve the relevant objectives in the City’s Housing Accelerator Fund contract with CMHC. This includes, but is not limited to: 1. Reviewing existing zoning designations and land use regulations and updating as required. 2. Updating subdivision requirements and processes. 3. Incorporating best practices for sustainable development and environmental protection. 4. Enhancing public engagement and consultation processes. 5. Ensuring consistency and clarity in the bylaws' language and structure. 6. Collaborating with city staff and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Official Plan and the City’s HAF initiatives. 7. Reviewing and providing recommendations on the current development approval process.
