Description

The Ministry is seeking a qualified Vendor to supply and deliver Throwable Video/Audio Communication Robotic Systems to be used by the Ontario Provincial Police (“OPP”).

The Deliverables will be used by the Tactics and Rescue Unit (“TRU”) members in training and in operations, in a variety of scenarios. The Deliverables are a tool to be used for interior clearing and locating individuals during high risk operations.
Scope of Work
The TRU provides tactical rescues, including anti-terrorist response, hostage rescue, barricaded person(s), armed/dangerous fugitive searches, high risk warrant execution, prisoner escort, witness and dignitary protection, court details and public order incidents where there is a high risk of violence anticipated. The Ministry’s TRU members are highly trained in tactical and explosive forced entries, sniper/observer operations, as well as rappelling proficiencies. Throwable Video/Audio Communication Robotic Systems are used to provide a buffer zone in high risk scenarios and thereby increasing officer safety.
