200890 - Public Works Operations Facility

The City of Colwood (the “City”) Public Works Department is undergoing an upgrade to future proof capacity for projected growth of the Colwood team and wider community over the next 30 years. The City is looking to construct an operational facility to house approximately fifty (50) staff and upgrade the existing site yard infrastructure by reconstructing road surfaces, introducing a new driveway to improve site logistics, relocated materials storage, and upgrade the existing service ramp. The operational facility is located within the existing operational yard, leveraging existing infrastructure and repurposing underutilized land onsite. The site is located at 3300 Wishart Rd, Victoria BC V9C1R1, Vancouver Island. The public works yard must remain operational throughout the duration of the construction works.

The purpose of this RFP is to select an experienced ‘Progressive’ Design-Build (PDB) team (General Contractor, Consultant, and critical trades) to work with the City from the onset of the project to develop an owner’s statement of requirements alongside construction documentation prior to trade procurement.
