24.0017 - RFP#24.0017 - External Audit Services

The County is seeking proposals from qualified firms of Chartered Professional Accountants to audit its financial statements in accordance with Public Sector Accounting Standards and the Province of Alberta municipal reporting requirements for municipalities. The County typically issues a Request for Proposal (RFP) for external audit services every five years or as otherwise deemed necessary. The County’s practice is to re-appoint the successful proponent(s) annually based on successful completion of the annual audit and on the approval by the County’s Council. The successful proponent(s) is responsible to report directly Council with the annual audit results. Additionally, independent audit services are needed for subsidiary organizations, a one-time information technology services audit, and other financial compliance reporting requirements.
