Description

PHO believes that the following procurement qualifies as a sole source or single source procurement. The purpose of this Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to determine if there are other proponents capable of meeting the requirements of the procurement for the following supplies for PHO.

Vendor: Micronostyx Inc
Product: GenoType Mycobacterium Line Probe Assay Kits
Purpose: rapid identification for 30 nontuberculous mycobacteria species (NTM), as well as identification of species within the M. tuberculosis complex (MTBC)

PHO has a requirement for GenoType Mycobacterium Line Probe Assay Kits capable of providing rapid identification for 30 nontuberculous mycobacteria species (NTM), as well as identification of species within the M. tuberculosis complex (MTBC).

PHO believes that the following products manufactured by HAIN Lifesciences are the only commercially available products for this use:
- GenoType Mycobacterium AS
- GenoType Mycobacterium CM
- GenoType MTBC
- GenoLyse kit
PHO believes that Micronostyx Inc is the only distributor of HAIN Lifescience assay products within Canada.

PHO intends to award a three year contract (comprised of two firm years and one option year) to Micronostyx Inc for the products described above.
