The College has used Homewood Health's services since 2013, with our last contract recently expiring. We recognize the critical need for a seamless transition to ensure uninterrupted access to these vital services. The complexity and sensitivity of the wellness services provided necessitate careful planning and implementation. In addition, we see usage increase year over year. To facilitate a smooth transition, we require sufficient time to communicate with our employees and their families, allowing them the opportunity to understand the changes and make any necessary adjustments. In accordance with Alberta rules and regulations, and considering the imminent expiration of our current contract, we are seeking approval for the sole-source continuation of our EFAP services with Homewood Health. Our decision is based on the current providers expertise and experience with our college, employee familiarity and minimization of disruption. We request the necessary approvals to proceed with the sole-source arrangement with Homewood Health for an additional two (2) years. This will enable us to maintain the continuity of services that have a direct and positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our employees. The College will go out to competitive bid for these services in two (2) years.
