2024-0102 - Urban Forest Implementation and Management Plan

The Town of Drumheller seeks qualified firms to provide proposals to develop a detailed work plan to achieve the Urban Forest Implementation and Management Plan. As part of the Flood Mitigation work, in 2021, the Flood Office prepared the “Drumheller Valley – Preserving & Enhancing the Urban Forest: Standards & Techniques” document. The current study seeks to better define the third priority area by identifying appropriate public locations for planting trees and shrubs when there is not suitable space available in the area or community from which the trees were removed. The plan will also work to inform the Town of Drumheller where to target future planting projects over the coming decade.
