The City is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified Proponents to provide a turnkey, fully integrated and functional CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) and APIS (Advanced Passenger Information system) technology with all hardware, software, spare parts, and service to better manage fixed-route operations for Calgary Transit.

Proponents may submit solutions toward cloud/SaaS or On-Premises (See Appendix F for more details).

The City intends to enter into an Agreement with one Proponent for the provision of all components as described above.

This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.

The City intends to enter into 1 (one) Agreement for the provision of the Deliverables.

The initial Agreement will be for a Term of five (5) years.

The Agreement may be renewed as follows:

The Agreement(s) may be renewed for an additional three (3) year term at first and then for additional two (2) year term.

The Agreement(s) will include a PoC for #120 days. 60 days for the Preparation/set-up and 60 days for the actual TEST. The solution must have 45 (forty-five) consecutive days of uninterrupted and stable performance within the sixty (60) days. See Appendix F for more information about the PoC.
