Description

This Request for Proposals (the 'RFP') is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the 'Province') as represented herein by the Minister of Service Nova Scotia, for and on behalf of the Nova Scotia Health Authority ('NSHA', and together with the Province, 'Nova Scotia'), to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Transportation Services for the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Program Mammography Trailer .

This RFP is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual. NSHA operates the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Mammography Trailer (the 'Trailer'). The Trailer is a complete Mobile mammography system, situated in a specially designed, but standard trailer, that is transported to various locations around Nova Scotia on a rotating basis.

NSHA is requesting proposals for Transportation Services for the Trailer. NSHA is seeking one (1) qualified proponent to work with NSHA to ensure the Trailer is maintained, transported, and situated at specified locations as per the criteria addressed in this RFP.

NSHA provides health services to Nova Scotians and some specialized services to Maritimers and Atlantic Canadians. NSHA operates hospitals, health centres and community-based programs across the province. NSHA’s team of health professionals includes employees, doctors, researchers, learners, and volunteers that provide the health care or services you may need. Partnerships are important to NSHA. NSHA works in partnership with community groups, schools, governments, foundations and auxiliaries and community health boards. Whether NSHA is hosting wellness programs in the community, conducting innovative research in labs, or helping a patient recover in hospital; they are creating a healthier Nova Scotia.

The Province seeks to work with suppliers who have the knowledge and capacity to apply the principles of sustainability to their own operations.
