Notice is hereby given that Providence Health Care and Vancouver Coastal Health (the “Health Authority(s)”), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide BioNova X3D Bioprinter for Vancouver Prostate Centre for a term of 2023-2024 at an estimated value of $110,000.00

In accordance with applicable trade agreements PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
• the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
(a) due to an absence of competition for technical reasons

The CELLINK BioNova X3D is the only DLP-based bioprinter that prints directly into well plates and has high resolution and user interface features required for research purposes. It is also the only benchtop DLP based boiprinter which enables greyscale printing, allowing for development of multi-stiffness constructs in all directions to better capture human biology. This equipment will contribute to the world-class infertility research program and tissue modelling expertise in the Vancouver Prostate Centre Department of Urologic Sciences.

PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
