Description

Ontario Health is seeking expressions of interest from clinicians with established expertise in pediatric genetics for the position of Clinical Lead, Pediatric Genetics Expert Group.

Ontario Health has established a Provincial Genetics Program (PGP) to ensure the provision of comprehensive, coordinated, evidence based genetic services for Ontarians. This program will provide oversight and administration for comprehensive genetic services for the people of Ontario, including genetic testing for rare and inherited disease, hereditary cancer, tumour biomarkers, and clinical genetic services.

The Provincial Genetics Program currently has established Expert Groups focusing on Neurogenetics, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Cardiogenetics, Inborn Errors of Immunity, Renal Genetics and Reproductive Genetics. Under the strategic direction of the Provincial Head – Provincial Genetics Program and the Provincial Genetics Advisory Committee (PGAC), the Clinical Lead, Pediatric Genetics, will bring clinical, research and quality improvement leadership expertise in the subspeciality area of general adult genetics conditions that are out of scope for other Expert Groups. This is a unique opportunity to provide leadership to the evolution of the Ontario health system as we work to drive quality, accountability, and innovation.
