Description

Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP) is seeking proposals from experienced and highly qualified contractors to provide food services for a housing service offered by SHIP in the Region of Peel.
The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify interested parties with the ability to provide the highest quality and the best value for money food service that will allow meal choices as well as cater to specific requirements of our client population.
In the provision of catering services for SHIP’s housing service program, we are seeking a Contractor who has strong and effective communication skills that will provide service that are:
− High in quality,
− Flexible in its ability to adjust their model of service based on circumstances/dietary requirements,
− Culturally diverse,
− Offer a variety/ options of menus and
− Allergen conscious
All meals and snacks will be offered in a way that is dignified, nutritious, fresh, and emulate home-cooked meals where possible. Acknowledging the diversity of our communities and individuals served through the housing service program, agreements with the catering vendor will be in support of the unique population and adhere to the following:
- Number of Meals: 3 meals per day (i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner), 7 days a week
- Type of Meal: Family meals (i.e. 2-6 member family) and child friendly meals.
- Number of Family Units: 110 Units (Approximately 225 to 250 individuals)

Where possible, seasonality and community celebrations will be incorporated into the meal offering.
