Description

he Centre intends to create a Vendor of Record (VOR) for a list of preferred catering firms to provide catering services to the Centre’s Facility Rental Clients. This is a revenue generating procurement. The conferred value of this procurement (based on vendor revenues) for a five-year term (comprised of one three-year term with two single one-year extensions at the option of the Centre) is up to $1.670M. The contract will also generate up to $0.250M in net revenue for the Centre (based on 15% commission from vendor sales).
Scope of Work
Facility Rental events are very diverse and range from weddings, bar mitzvahs and exclusive galas, to cultural celebrations and corporate meetings. In order to be inclusive, and competitive with industry demand and venue competition, the Centre must provide a vast selection of catering menus/offerings to Clients. Having multiple caterers to choose from, allows Clients the customization to meet their budgets, expectations and cultural menu preferences. The level of catering service is also increased when multiple Vendors must compete for Client events. This enhances customer satisfaction, word of mouth referrals and increases revenue targets for the department. Cross promotional opportunities by multiple Vendors for the Science Centre will increase rental events, thus increase revenue potential.

Prospective Bidders are invited at their own expense to an optional site meeting to be held at the Ontario Science Centre the purpose of which is to allow potential Bidders to view the venue that they would be catering in and ask questions ONLY about the venue. A site meeting question and answer addendum will be issued and posted to ensure disclosure and fairness. A site meeting(s) will not be available at any other time(s), nor will any separate site meeting(s) be held. Please arrive fifteen (15) minutes early for attendance.
