Description

Vendors are advised the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) intends to negotiate and direct award a vending machine contract to Ryan Company Ltd. for the following locations:

1. Oceanside Place Arena located 830 Island Highway Parksville, BC
2. Ravensong Aquatic Centre located at 737 Jones St, Qualicum Beach, BC

The RDN wishes to direct award the contract for the following reasons:
• Ryan Company Ltd. is the incumbent service provider and has provided the service satisfactorily for many years.
• To the best of the RDN’s knowledge, Ryan Company Ltd. is the only service provider interested in providing these services at these locations.

Vendors wishing to challenge the RDN’s intention to negotiate and direct award the above must submit their objection, in writing, via email to the following person on, or before 3:00 p.m. PST on November 23, 2022:

Regional District of Nanaimo.

Objections must be submitted on company letterhead and be signed by an individual authorized to represent the company submitting the objection. Vendors must clearly state the reasons why they believe they are qualified to supply the services that are being proposed to be direct awarded and why the services should be competitively tendered.

The RDN retains the right to determine its future course of action depending on any responses received and to perform its due diligence as required prior to making a final decision
