Description

Vendors are advised the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) plans to negotiate and direct award a supply agreement with Westech Industrial Ltd. for the provision of a Waste Gas Burner and Ignition System for its landfill gas operations in Nanaimo, B.C.

The estimated value of the supply agreement will be greater than $75,000. The RDN wishes to negotiate and direct award for the following reasons:

a) This is a replacement of an existing aging equipment with the same model flare.
b) Replacement of the equipment does not incur replacement of additional components.
c) Technical Safety British Columbia approves the use and installation of the equipment as per Canadian Standards Association “B149.6:20 Code for Digester Gas, Landfill Gas and Biogas Generation and Utilization” (CSA, 2020).

Vendors wishing to challenge the RDN’s intention to negotiate and direct award a supply agreement with Westech Industrial Ltd. must submit their objection, in writing, via email to the following person on, or before 3:00 p.m. PST on April 11, 2022:
