Description

This document is issued by the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (the “Ministry”) for the initiating early engagement with the market and seeking interest from potential vendors in participating in a Market Day.

The Early Market Engagement Exercise (“Exercise”) consists of:

1. An Engagement Survey Document
2. A Market Day

Participants must respond to and return the Engagement Survey Document in order to register for the Market Day. Further details and deadlines can be found by downloading the Engagement Survey Document.

NOTE: Participation in this engagement process is encouraged, but not mandatory. Participation in this process is not a condition or a pre-requisite for the participation in any potential or subsequent procurement opportunities. There will be no shortlisting of potential participants for the purposes of undertaking any future work resulting from this Exercise.

The Ministry wishes to engage in an open dialogue to bring vendor perspectives and market insights to its early-thinking for a potential future state for the Food Category and encourages vendors to participate in this open dialogue.

The Ministry expects that this exercise will inform and support the development of a potential procurement for the future state Food Category in Ontario.

In particular, and as described in the survey document, the Ministry is seeking information on whether the market has the capability and capacity to deliver these specialized services and what interest the market has in bidding on this opportunity.
