PHSA 85106 - PHSA 85106 Arjo Alenti, Harmonie and Sara 3000 Equipment PM Services

Notice is hereby given that Vancouver Coastal Health, 520 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver, BC (the “Health Authority”), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Preventive Maintenance services on patient handling equipment at Minoru Residence for a term of three years plus two one year options at an estimated value of $300,000.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as an agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
• the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative.

Rationale
Arjo Canada Inc. does not utilize any third-party suppliers, distributors or servicers for the following product sectors:
• Active, passive or bariatric floor Lifts
• Shower chairs, bathing Systems and lifts
• Therapeutic surfaces and medical beds.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Anthony O’Donoghue by email or to Debbie Arnold by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, Friday, November 29th, 2024 PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
