NOI Title: Polyomavirus BKV, EBV Viral Load, and software upgrades

In accordance with applicable trade agreements PHSA, as agent for the Providence Health Care has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
• the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
(a) due to an absence of competition for technical reasons
• Roche recently developed new IVD Class 3 assays for BKV and EBV that are now Health Canada approved. Roche is the only vendor to have Health Canada approved Class 3 IVD assays for both EBV and BKV. Also, to ensure compatibility with testing of other viral load markers (HIV, HBV, and CMV) in the same run with no pre-sorting of specimens required.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of April Lee, Procurement Buyer, by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, July 12th 2024. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
