The AER, an agency of the Government of Alberta, is the Plan Administrator for The Senior Employees Pension Plan (SEPP) and the Supplemental Retirement Plan (SRP).
The AER is publishing three RFPs for this work. There is an RFP for investment services, an RFP for pension administration services, and this RFP for actuarial services. For this RFP, the AER is inviting proposals from qualified professional consulting firms with experience providing these services to registered pension plans in Alberta. This includes actuarial valuation services for the SEPP, which must be prepared by a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. As the pension landscape in Alberta continues to evolve, AER is also looking for a trusted advisor who can communicate complex and technical topics in clear and simple terms, and partner with AER to ensure the SEPP and SRP continue to meet the needs of the AER, AUC, and all plan members.
