Description

The Project:
MRU has secured a capital investment from a social impact investor. MRU will accept referrals from Alberta Supports and provide refugees with service management to connect them to employment and wrap-around supports. SCSS will only make payment at milestones of 12 months and 24 months of sustained employment for each of the clients.

MRU will develop a research paper to document the outcomes from this partnership.

Seniors, Community and Social Services has chosen not to issue a Request for Proposals to potential vendors because of the following:
• MRU is the only supplier that has approached SCSS in partnership with a secured social impact investor and is willing to take the risk of outcomes payments at 12 months and 24 months.
• As a post-secondary institution MRU is positioned to deliver a comprehensive research paper to document the system-wide impacts and value for money of this model.
