Project Overview and Objective
Black Gold School Division (BGSD) is opening a new grade 8 - 12 school in Leduc, Alberta in August 2024 with an estimated opening enrolment of 780 students. The Black Gold School Division invites you to submit a proposal to provide classroom furniture to satisfy the needs and requirements outlined
below.
Respondents are required to supply all furniture as per the proposed listing. Proposals containing a partial listing, at the discretion of BGSD, may not be accepted
Delivery
1. Delivery, installation and training are to be completed as soon as possible after June 3, 2024, but not later than June 21, 2024.
2. The Vendor is to deliver and set up furniture as per drawings and renderings provided during the tendering process. Final locations are to be confirmed by BGSD.
3. Vendor is to remove all packaging and other related garbage, etc. from the site and recycle where possible. BGSD garbage disposal facilities are not to be used for refuse.
4. Furniture is to be cleaned and inspected by designated BGSD staff once installed in the final location. Furniture with any damage or imperfections will not be accepted and will require timely replacement.
5. All student chairs and desks must have protective material on all legs supplied and installed by the bidder.
6. All site related safety requirements, including orientation and PPE will need to be followed during delivery and installation.
7. Vendor is to allow for storage at their location for 60 days beyond the indicated delivery date to accommodate delays in the facility construction schedule.
8. Vendor is required to ensure that no damage occurs to facility finishes. A walk-through before delivery and post-assembly with designated BGSD staff will be required. If the furniture is to be assembled on site, a high quality protective product such as Ram Board is required to be installed on
the floor in the assembly area before furniture delivery. If damage occurs to the school site, the vendor is responsible for paying for such repairs to be made by methods chosen by BGSD.
