SCHEDULED AND NON-SCHEDULED/ ON DEMAND COURIER SERVICES
The Supplier will provide scheduled and non-scheduled/on demand courier services to Purchaser to facilitate delivery of goods and materials to and from Purchasers’ Facilities listed in 2.0 Price Form. All parties will endeavour to facilitate the streamlining of processes to achieve efficiencies in the delivery of Services for Purchasers and Supplier.
The Purchaser and Supplier shall cooperate to identify potential improvements and efficiencies in Service delivery and performance, which may result in cost savings for the Purchaser.
Supplier will provide scheduled and non-scheduled delivery services to/ from Purchaser facilities in a scheduled and as-needed, as available basis. Supplier will be available 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week to receive such requests and will use best efforts to accommodate Purchaser requests for any non-scheduled delivery services for Purchaser Facilities. If the Supplier is unable to meet the requirements of the Purchaser, the Purchaser has the option of making alternative arrangements.
DELIVERABLES
The Supplier will provide regular commercial local same day courier delivery of various items such as laboratory specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, letters, small packages, and heavyweight items. For clarity, laboratory and pharmacy related goods and materials include, but are not necessarily limited to, lab samples which may include bio-hazardous and hazardous materials, slides and blocks, reports and empty containers. All applicable licenses and training such as TDG certification required
Purchaser shall permit the Supplier reasonable access to Facilities to perform Services, subject always to the Supplier’s compliance with security and access restrictions and policies in place at any given Facility.
Pickup and delivery will be made to individual departments, receiving/shipping departments or the main entrance of the Facility, or other location, as reasonably requested by the Purchaser.
The Supplier’s drivers will enter the date and time of each pick-up and delivery either electronically or on route sheets.
Purchasers will provide any coolers or specialized containers required for the transport of goods and materials. Purchasers shall notify Supplier of any specialized packaging required for the safe transport of items.
