If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. Over the last 2 decades DRDC Suffield Research Centre has conducted several projects on the effects of various explosive technologies and the effectiveness of numerous protective solutions resulting in physics based models that capture system effects. This work resulted in the Computational Fluid Dynamics code Chinook by Martec Limited. This contract will continue the development of this tool.
