The OEB is consolidating its general facility services, additional cleaning, hygiene services, and carpet cleaning to all four (4) floors of the OEB (24th to 27th), as well as the 19th floor and 28th floor. The approximate cleaning area for the 24th to 27th floors is approximately 1770 sq. /ft. per floor. The approximate cleaning area for the 19th and 28th floors is 2500 sq. /ft. per floor.
At the present time the services are being provided by two (2) vendors which require additional internal effort to manage. Currently one vendor does the general cleaning of the common areas, and another vendor provides carpet shampooing services along with cleaning the microwaves, loading the dishwashers and cleaning our fridges.
The OEB would like only one service provider to complete all the work. This will allow the OEB to better manage the service and have only one (1) point of contact and perhaps realize better economies of scale. Participating Proponents will be asked to provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the cleaning products they will be using. The OEB would prefer the successful Proponent to use green products. All work will take place after hours which will be considered 6:00 pm and onwards. Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) documents will be required as well as General Liability Insurance with a minimum value of $ 2M.
