Description:
The objective of this RFP is to engage one (1) qualified and experienced Proponent to supply hockey equipment and related services to York’s Athletics & Recreation Department.
York anticipates that two (2) bulk orders will be placed each year, one (1) for equipment with delivery in July/August and one (1) for initial bulk order of sticks for delivery in September. On-going as-required orders will be placed throughout the term for high usage items, and as such, the Selected Proponent shall make available all requested goods and services to York for the term of the Agreement.
The following goods and services (but not necessarily limited to) shall be required during the term of the Agreement:
• Supply and delivery of all hockey equipment, skate, and stick orders;
• Access to manufacturers such as (but not necessarily limited to): CCM, Adidas, Bauer, Warrior, and True;
• Ability to supply York with a manufacturer that makes individual player patterns for goalies;
• Skate profiling on Cag-One machine or equivalent;
• Expert/professional skate profiling and skate sharpening via manual methods;
• Skate repairs (e.g. skate blade replacement, riveting, skate blade holder replacement);
• Quarterly meetings with the York representative to discuss upcoming orders and new products, at no additional cost to York, as required.
The Selected Proponent will have local shop(s) available for the service component of this Agreement.
York will only consider Proposal submissions received from Proponents who have registered with MERX (www.MERX.com) for this competitive bid. Proposal submissions from Proponents who have not registered and obtained this Bid Document directly from MERX will be disqualified.

Delivery Date:
Tentative Agreement start date is August 2, 2021.
Duration of Agreement:
The initial term of the Agreement shall be for twenty-five (25) months, with three (3) optional twelve (12) month extensions.

York reserves the right in its sole discretion to negotiate modifications to any Proposal received without becoming obligated to offer to negotiate with any other Proponent(s).
