I19-113 - Student Success Platform – Advising Referral Solution

The purpose of the project is to establish a set of pan-University principles and processes to guide effective student referrals between advising and student service units at York. It includes the mapping of advising as well as central and local student support services and the development of baseline processes to facilitate student referrals between service units.

This work will be underpinned by a technical solution that will include a repository of advice given and a student referral track between functional service units. The system will provide quantitative reports and support advisor/staff follow-up with students to ensure that their needs are met. The referral system will provide a previously unavailable communication resource among advisors, student affairs practitioners and student services across the institution.

York University is seeking information on student success platforms that will enable the Advising Referral Solution. York wishes to better understand the market of tools, fit with the University’s Enterprise Architecture, general costing of solution and guidance on issuing a request for proposal (“RFP”).

Subsequent to this Request for Information, a Request for Proposal may be issued should York decide to continue with this project.
