Description

York is seeking Proposals from qualified Proponents for the provision of chemical waste disposal services as outlined in Section 6.2 of this Bid Document. The Proponent should demonstrate a combination of experience and expertise providing York chemical waste related services.

York has a collection point (in 030H Petrie Science and Engineering Building) where chemical waste accumulates. Pick-up would occur every 2-3 months from that location, during business hours (8:30-4:30). A list of waste will be supplied when pick-up is being scheduled. Some of the waste will be in individual bottles and will require lab-packing before transport and some will already be in pails or drums. Organic solvents will always be part of every pick-up; all other types of chemical waste will vary significantly. Volumes of each type of waste may vary drastically from pick-up to pick-up. Periodic pick-up and disposal of chemical waste is typically generated from Chemistry and Biology research/teaching laboratories.
