A preferred location map is attached to the tender documents as Appendix B. The vivarium will be approximately 46,000 gross square feet on two or three levels. The mechanical systems may be located in an interstitial floor on a three storey building, as a side mechanical space on a two storey building, or a combination of these two with a penthouse. A detailed scoping report has been undertaken for this project. The program overview section of the report is contained in Appendix C. The vivarium will contain a surgical suite, four behavioural testing rooms, a CL2 containment room, post mortem suite, quarantine room, laboratory, general housing and procedure space, and material management and administrative and support space.
