UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR
2020-01-28 Transforming Windsor Law Project – General Moving Services
The Ron W. Ianni Faculty of Law Building (the Building) is located at the intersection of University Avenue and Turtle Island Walk on the scenic urban campus of the University. Built in 1970, the 91,000 square foot building, which also houses the 188,000-volume Paul Martin Law Library and 275-seat moot court classroom, underwent a green retrofit in 2007 that added airy energy-saving skylights and a green roof. The Building forms part of the University
campus and is adjacent to the two million-volume Leddy Library and steps away from the CAW Student Centre – a 24-hour facility student hub.
In order to facilitate the extensive renovations, the Law Building will be located to temporary accommodations throughout the Campus. This RFP is being issued to procure general move services, including the dismantling of furniture in the Law building, move to temporary
accommodation and set up of furniture as directed in the temporary space.
The Move Services for this Project are expected to be completed in two phases:
- Phase 1: Move-Out – Move out of the building – May 2020
- Phase 2: Move-In – Move back into the building – June 2022 (procured at a later date)
This RFP is an invitation by the University to prospective Proponents for the Proposals for the General Moving Services for the Project.
