The University is interested in purchasing a Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) Instrumentation with the following specifications.
DSC specifications: Temperature range at least 550 C to -90 C., modulated DSC and determination of heat capacity, kit for optical measurements must be available, complete kit for sample preparation (press for different types of crucibles), inlets for reactive gases in addition to protective gas, baseline flatness around 5 micro watts
TGA specifications: Gas blending module for at least two reactive gases, fast furnace cooling, connector interface for the attachment of Mass Spectrometer and other instrumentation, temperature range from 25 C to >1000 C, linear heating rates from 0.1 C/min to >100 C/min
General specifications: At least 5-year warranty, free software (including all modules) for all users
Vendors interested in responding to a RFP or RFQ must email a Letter of Interest including Merx reference number, name of company, address, phone number, fax number, contact person and email address to Margaret Glos (email: mglos@uwindsor.ca). Vendors should include general literature and specifications of the equipment they sell which meets the above specifications. The Request for Proposal or RFQ will be issued to vendors who sell equipment meeting the above capabilities. The Request for Proposal or RFQ will not be issued to vendors until after the closing date of the Merx posting.
