Description

The Waterloo Advanced Technology Lab (WATLab) is one of the premier centres for materials research and nanoscience in Canada that enables first-class scientists to pursue frontier research in materials and nanoscale sciences and to develop emerging advanced technologies.

The Imaging XPS Microprobe system is to be used as part of the unique metrology and fabrication toolset in WATLab at the University of Waterloo. WATLab is developed as a multi-mission, multi-user facility to service a wide range of experiments for all users on campus, with varying degrees of expertise and experience. As such, all of the instruments must be user friendly, versatile and robust. These instruments must also have a low cost of ownership, and reliability is a must.
