Description

The University of Waterloo invites qualified companies to submit proposals for General Internet Services in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal.

This RFP is to select an ISP for General Internet Services for services that is currently being provided by Zayo (2) in Background). The University of Waterloo is interested in entering into a contract for a physically diverse path from Rogers’ (3 in Background) ten gigabit/second symmetric dedicated bandwidth General Internet Services. In order to maintain redundancy for General Internet Services, the University of Waterloo will select an ISP(s) other than 3) Rogers and 1) Orion as its successful Respondent to this RFP.In addition, the physical path from the University of Waterloo to the Successful Respondent’s first point of presence (PoP) will be physically diverse from Rogers’ and ORION’s PoP. Refer to the diagram included in Section 6.0.

This RFP is to select a successful Respondent who will provide General Internet Services for five (5) years. The term of the Agreement is anticipated to start as early as February 1, 2019 assuming all infrastructure is currently in place.
