Executive search consultants and recruitment firms are normally engaged by the University of Waterloo to assist in the recruitment of the president, vice-presidents, and deans. On occasion they are engaged to assist with filling other senior executive level positions. The University of Waterloo seeks experienced executive search consultants/recruitment firms with the knowledge, skills, and expertise in recruiting senior executive roles for large complex institutions (e.g., other universities, hospitals, etc.), demonstrable experience with equity, diversity, and inclusion hiring and considerations, and experience in recruiting senior leaders for the broader public sector in Ontario.

It is the University’s intention to evaluate all responses to this solicitation, with the goal to select a “short list pool” of potential firms with a range of expertise and experience, each able to act quickly when the need arises. It is expected that the University of Waterloo will go to only those on the short list for its recruitment requirements for approximately a three (3) year period.
