19-048 TT - Automated Glass Processing Workstation

The Automated Glass Processing Workstation, which is the subject of this RFP, is to be utilized as part of the quantum research lab toolset located in the RAC1 building at the University of Waterloo. This building houses one of Canada’s top quantum research centres and enables scientists and engineers to pursue frontier research in materials science, nanotechnology, and quantum information processing.
The infrastructure is geared towards servicing a wide range of experiments related to quantum information processing and quantum technologies for graduate and post-graduate researchers with varying degrees of expertise and experience. As such, all instruments in this facility, including the glass processing workstation, must be well proven with numerous units installed and successfully operating in the field. All systems must be user friendly, versatile and robust.  The workstation must have a low cost of ownership with excellent demonstrated uptime and reliability.
