2016028-T-2a2b-RFQ (2) - Low Temperature and Tall Plant Environmental Chambers

This Request for Quote (“RFQ”) is an invitation by the University of Ottawa to prospective Proponents to submit Quotes for the provision of one (1) low temperature environmental chamber and one (1) tall plant environmental chamber, including installation and on-site training.

Low temperature environmental chamber (Qty 1): This chamber will allow for insect and plant growth with capabilities to look at the effects of increasing winter temperatures (including below freezing) on spring phenology and to compare the response of the monarch to milkweed species to cold temperature stress.
 
Tall plant environmental chamber (Qty 1): Since this chamber can accommodate greater heights than standard chambers, this chamber will not constrain the growth of milkweed plants or tree saplings. For example, common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) grows from 2-6 feet high, a height for which standard chambers are not appropriate.
