Description of Procurement
The University is conducting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Prime Consultant (Architect) Services for Ryerson School of Architecture Building Design Project.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before May 6, 2021, 11:00:00 AM EDT.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.
Conditions for Participation
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:
Insurance Requirements
ii. General liability insurance in the amount of not less than five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) for any one occurrence for bodily injury, property damage including loss of use, or death. Such insurance shall, at a minimum, include coverage of broad form property damage, contractual liability, completed operations and product liability and such other types of insurance as would be carried by a prudent person performing such services and as Ryerson, may from time to time, require. Such policy shall include Ryerson as an additional insured, include a cross liability/severability of interests clause, and include a waiver of subrogation rights which the Architect’s insurer may have against Ryerson;
iii. Standard automobile liability insurance covering vehicles owned by the Architect and non-owned vehicles with limits of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00);
iv. Valuable papers and media coverage insurance to cover the loss or damage to the full replacement value of drawings, reports, data, plans and specifications and other materials collected, prepared or developed under this Agreement in an amount of no less than two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00);
v. Professional liability insurance to cover against Claims made for errors or omissions of, or negligent acts, attributable to, or relating to the performance of the Architect's Services under this Agreement, with limits of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) per claim and a deductible or a self-insured retention not to exceed $25,000.00 per claim. Such policy shall not exclude prior acts relating to the Architect's Services under this Agreement. Such insurance shall be maintained from the inception of this Agreement until two (2) years following the earlier of the termination of this Agreement or completion of the Architect’s Services. The Architect agrees to advise Ryerson by written declaration of any and all Claims pending against such insurance prior to commencement of the Services and on a monthly basis thereafter as a condition of payment; and
vi. Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario (“WSIB”) coverage or employers liability insurance in the amount of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) and if requested, the Architect shall submit its WSIB account number together with a letter from the appropriate WSIB department (indicating that there are no outstanding fees, fines, Claims or debts to the Architect’s WSIB account) to Ryerson prior to commencement of the services.
