Description of Procurement
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is an invitation to prospective Proponents to submit a Quotation for submissions pertaining to the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of the Passive Optical Local Area Network (LAN) Equipment required for the Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex (“DCC”) Residence Tower at Ryerson University (“Ryerson”) as specified in Section 2 – DELIVERABLES.

The Successful Proponent will provide design, installation, configuration, maintenance and support including software updates for the proposed equipment. The telecommunication network for the DCC residence tower, located at 288 Church Street, Toronto will be overseen by the Computing and Communication Services (“CCS”) department at Ryerson.

To meet the requirements for the CCS department operations and the students living in the DCC residence tower, the telecommunication network will include voice, data, video and wireless communication infrastructure.

Ryerson is seeking Proponent submissions providing a turnkey solution which incorporate all aspects of design and implementation.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before December 7, 2018 at 11:00:00 a.m. (Toronto, Ontario local time).

The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Conditions for Participation
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:

Mandatory Requirements:

Submission of Appendix A - Proponent Acknowledgement Form.
Submission of a Tellabs Certificate

Provide a certification document detailing that the Proponent is a current Certified Reseller Partner authorized to resell and install Tellabs solutions, and/or a Certified Deployment Partner, authorized to install and provision Tellabs solutions.
In the case that the Proponent is a Reseller Partner, provide a letter in lieu of the certification document stating that Tellabs will be used for system provisioning and commissioning.

Contract Details
The objective of this RFQ is to select a Proponent or Proponents with whom Ryerson intends to issue a purchase order or purchase orders for the Deliverables as described herein.

Event Note

To gain a better understanding of the existing site conditions and constraints, all Proponents are requested to attend the scheduled site visit, scheduled for November 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Proponents should plan to meet at the South-East Construction Gate at 288 Church Street, Toronto. This site visit is not mandatory.

Proponents will be asked to sign in with Ryerson’s Purchasing Officer.

NOTE: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and mandatory to attend this site tour. Proponents must have: safety shoes, hard hats, safety vests and glasses.
