The University of Ottawa is making its largest capital investment ever with the construction of the Advanced Medical Research Centre (AMRC), set to open in 2026. This 350,000-square-foot facility will bridge the gap between discovery and commercialization of healthcare treatments, featuring state-of-the-art laboratories and the Ottawa Health Innovation Hub. The AMRC aims to accelerate health research, attract top global talent, and foster biotech startups, ultimately improving patient care outcomes locally and globally. The centre will also house the Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub, a joint initiative with McMaster University.
The University wishes to procure for the AMRC:
• Two single door small autoclave (approximately 250L)
• Two single door medium autoclave (approximately 852L)
• Two single door medium autoclave (approximately 1054L)
• One double door medium autoclave (approximately 630L)
The University wishes to secure pricing for optional additional autoclaves for all campus at the University

• Annual preventive maintenance and service on equipment purchased through this RFP
This is referred to “Equipment” in all the documents. For the purposes of this RFP, Autoclaves can be referred to as Steriliser by the University or the proponent.
