Description

Northern Ontario School of Medicine is seeking proposals from group insurers to underwrite the group benefit program. Mercer is the consultant of record for NOSM and is assisting NOSM with this competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The benefits included in this RFP are as follows: • Basic Life • Optional Life (Employee and Spouse) • Optional Accidental Death and Dismemberment • Long Term Disability • Extended Health Care • Dental Care The sick leave / short term disability plan is self insured and is excluded from this RFP. NOSM is seeking quotes for all benefits with one insurer only. NOSM’s benefit program has been underwritten by Canada Life since 2015. The plan renews in October of each year. The intended effective date of this program will be October 1, 2022.
