Description

Background and Purpose

McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of a Single-Crystal X-Ray Diffractometer(s) with Mo and Cu microsources in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals.
Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted.

Scope/Objective

The McMaster Analytical X-ray Diffraction Facility provides characterization of single crystals, powders and materials using diffraction methods. Our professional crystallographers provide the service, train graduate students, operate undergraduate crystallography labs, and organize annual national workshops. Our users are academic scientists and engineers from McMaster and other Canadian and American universities, as well industry researchers.
Until recently, we have been operating Mo and Cu sealed tube and rotating anode single crystal instruments with CCD area detectors. We have now received funding to replace these two retired instruments with a modern dual source single crystal instrument(s).

Term

The term of this agreement is the time required to fulfill the deliverables of this RFP, plus an initial warranty term of one (1) year.
