Description

The research program of Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology aims to help identify non-genetic risk factors for disease and inform targeted interventions such as exposure prevention/reduction and early disease diagnosis at the population level. To achieve this goal the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at McMaster University plans to purchase an Orbitrap Exploris™ GC-240 system with extended warranty, service contacts software packages, training and installation. The system, which represents the leading-edge technology in separation science and mass spectrometry, will be used for characterizing the exposome. The infrastructure will be located in the McMaster’s Regional Center for Mass Spectrometry.
