Description

McMaster University is seeking to solicit bids from equipment manufacturers for the supply of the following items:

Two (2) separate electrical switchgear equipment packages to support peak shaving generators.

and invites qualified bidders to submit responses in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal (hereafter referred to as RFP).
McMaster University requires the procurement of the equipment and service for two (2) 15kV switchgears as described in the technical specification in Appendix A of this RFP. One (1) of the switchgears will be installed at the NF 91 substation on campus and one (1) switchgear will be installed at the ET Clarke Central Plant as shown on the reference plans in Appendix B of this RFP.
The work shall comply with directions, notes and specifications set out in the drawings and documents listed within this RFP. All switchgears are to meet Regulatory compliance as specified in section 1.7 in Appendix C – Specifications.
The equipment supplier shall provide training for the facility operating personnel covering operation and maintenance of the equipment provided. The training program shall be not less than 4 hours in duration and the class size shall be limited to 5 persons. Training date shall be coordinated with the facility owner.
Delivery of the switchgears to McMaster University in Hamilton, ON is required. This shall include loading of the switchgears onto appropriately sized vehicles as required to safely deliver the switchgears to site. All costs associated with transportation of the generators, tolls, import costs, tariffs and duties shall be included.
