Description

McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit non-binding proposals for the provision of External Audit Services.

The primary objective of this RFP is to Award and execute an Agreement for the Deliverables as described herein with a Preferred Proponent (term used interchangeably with “Auditor”). The Agreement period is described for audit services for annual cycles beginning on or after May 1, 2022.

The desired Agreement initial term: five (5) years
With options to extend the Agreement for: an additional five (5) years

Notwithstanding the term and renewals described, the Preferred Proponent will be appointed on a yearly basis by the Board of Governors. The appointment is informed each year by the results of the annual external auditor assessment process.

Additional objectives include the following:

Achieve the best solution
Obtain the Deliverables at a high quality at best overall value
Enhance and streamline Deliverables through joint annual reviews

Proposals must be submitted through McMaster’s online Bonfire portal at:
https://mcmaster.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities
Submissions by other methods will not be accepted. Minimum system requirements are Internet Explorer 8/9/10+, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. Javascript must be enabled. Proponents should contact Bonfire at Support@GoBonfire.com for technical questions related to submissions, or visit Bonfire’s help forum at https://bonfirehub.zendesk.com/hc. Proposals must be uploaded and finalized on or before the Submission Deadline set out in the RFP Timetable.
Uploading large documents may take significant time, depending on file size and internet connection speed. It is strongly recommended that proponents allow sufficient time of at least one (1) hour before the Submission Deadline to upload documents and finalize their submissions.
Proponents will receive an email confirmation receipt with a unique confirmation number upon finalizing their submissions. Submission materials should be prepared in the file formats listed under Requested Information for this opportunity in the Bonfire portal. The maximum upload file size is 100 MB. Documents should not be embedded within uploaded files, as the embedded files will not be accessible or evaluated.
