Description

McMaster University (“McMaster”) is issuing this Request for Proposal (hereinafter “RFP”) for Express Inbound & Outbound Domestic & International Courier Service for the McMaster community (“McMaster”).

McMaster is comprised of over 170 departments located locally at 1280 and 1200 Main Street West, Hamilton, ON, as well as satellite departments located off site. Identical service is required for all departments, regardless of geographical location.
McMaster cannot guarantee volume for our Domestic and International shipments.

McMaster University may ship any of the nine classes of dangerous goods to any domestic or international destinations.

Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted. McMaster will not consider dividing Domestic and International shipments.

Shipping and Receiving is centralized for the following McMaster University Hamilton, Ontario locations - 1200 Main St. West (McMaster Hospital) - 50 Charlton Ave E (St. Joseph’s Hospital) – 30 Birge St (DBCVSRI) – 1 James St. North (OJN) – 270 Longwood Road (The FPC-Beam) – 237 Barton St East (Hamilton General Hospital).

Shipping and Receiving is de-centralized for McMaster University Hamilton, Ontario located at 1280 Main St. West (Main Campus) - 200 Longwood Road (MARC) – 4350 South Service Road (Ron Joyce Center) – 100 Main Street West (DBHSC). If the package address includes a building name and room number, the courier is expected to deliver and retrieve packages from said location.

A Proposal must include, or conform with, the following Mandatory Requirements:

Bidder must carry Dangerous Goods both domestically and internationally.
Bidder must have a cooler or means to maintain cool temperatures of McMaster’s packages at destination hub(s).
Bidder must provide in-house customs brokerage for prepaid shipments exported from McMaster to any international location (exception being instances in which national governments rules trump the bidder from providing this service).
Bidder must offer online shipping with an administrator function.
