TF 05-23-874 - Design and Contract Administration Services for Michael G. DeGroote Centre for

McMaster University is seeking to retain the services of a qualified Project Architect for the supply of professional consulting services for the design and contract administration for the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery building (MDCL) 3120 renovation. This area will become McMaster's new School of Biomedical Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Qualified proponents are invited to submit responses in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal (hereafter referred to as RFP).
The basic form of contract will be the OAA 600-2013 Standard Form of Contract for Architect’s Services as negotiated with and modified by McMaster University. Refer to Appendix B for the Supplementary Conditions to OAA 600-2013. Refer to Appendix C for the Schedule A - Architect’s Scope of Basic Services
We require the professional services of an Architect to investigate and engineer a solution and design for the School. The School will be home to a new masters program in biomedical innovation. It will require an area for program delivery, administration (offices), and meeting space. MDCL 3120 is about 3280 sq ft and will be renovated for this purpose. The construction budget is estimated to be $1,250,000.00 not including furniture and AV.
